What We Test on Every Visit

Clear water isn’t luck. It’s chemistry. On every visit we run a full panel on your pool or spa water and adjust it on the spot:

• Free and total chlorine
• pH (the comfort number)
• Total alkalinity (pH’s shock absorber)
• Cyanuric acid (chlorine’s sunscreen)
• Calcium hardness (protects surfaces and equipment)

Why Mississippi Pools Swing So Fast

Two things wreck pool chemistry in the Pine Belt: heat and rain. Intense summer sun burns off chlorine faster than almost anywhere in the country, and our frequent downpours dilute everything you’ve added while washing in organic debris that consumes sanitizer. A pool that tested perfectly on Saturday can be out of range by Wednesday. That’s why chemistry isn’t a once-a-month job here. It’s built into our weekly cleaning service.

The Signs Your Water Is Off

Cloudy or dull water, stinging eyes, itchy skin, a strong “chlorine” smell (which actually means chloramines, not too much chlorine), slippery walls, or the first green tint of algae: all of these are chemistry problems before they’re anything else. Balanced water also protects your liner, plaster, and equipment from corrosion and scale, which is real money over the life of a pool.
